Zack Ayer

Site Coordinator, Full-Service Community Schools

Zack Ayer serves as the FSCS Site Coordinator for Cowpens Elementary School. He graduated from Wofford College in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Economics. His interest in community work and helping others achieve their goals began during his time at Wofford, where he was involved in volunteer projects and the residence life program.

Following this passion, Zack spent two years as the Residence Life and Student Involvement Operations Coordinator, supervising a team of 11 Residence Assistants and managing three residence halls. His responsibilities included conflict resolution, conducting meetings, planning and budgeting hall programs, implementing training for a staff of 42 Residence Assistants, and refining emergency preparedness protocols for the Residence Life department.

While Zack found fulfillment in supporting students and fostering a successful environment, he sought to broaden his impact by working with the larger Spartanburg County community. This led him to join the Spartanburg Academic Movement, where he now contributes his skills to support the teachers, students, and families of Cowpens Elementary.
