Taylor Dockter

Director of the Center for Early Childhood Success

Taylor Dockter is the Director of the Center for Early Childhood Success, dedicated to ensuring every child in Spartanburg County has a strong foundation for lifelong success. She employs a systems-based approach, combining national best practices with a place-based approach to tailor strategies to the specific needs of Spartanburg.

Taylor's expertise spans public health areas like reproductive health, mental health, substance use prevention, and high school dropout prevention. She advocates for amplifying community voices, especially those of adolescents, believing partnerships are crucial for driving meaningful change. This approach led to the successful passage of the Tobacco-21 resolution, leadership of the Impact Spartanburg Coalition, and the launch of the Partners Aligned and Collaborating Together (PACT) for OnTrack Greenville.

Taylor holds a Master of Science in Human Development, Master of Public Administration, and a Nonprofit Management Certificate from the University of Georgia.

Beyond her professional roles, Taylor is deeply committed to serving her community. She actively participates on local boards, volunteers, and advocates for policies that benefit the community. Taylor believes that serving others is not merely a career but a way of life.
