Robin Carter
Director of Wardlaw Institute for Continuous Improvement
Robin serves as the Director of the Wardlaw Institute to provide general oversight and management of Spartanburg Academic Movement's continuous improvement efforts by working with community partners and local school districts to ensure improved outcomes for students and families across the county.
Robin is a leader who seeks to build people and organizations with a focus on developing strategic and highly organized processes that empower others to bring their best selves to the work that they engage with.
Initially beginning her career as an environmental chemist, Robin has been teaching at the high school and college level for almost two decades where she has received recognition as the Adjunct Professor of the Year for Greenville Technical College and as a District Teacher of the Year Finalist for the South Carolina Public Charter School District for her innovation and leadership in and out of the classroom.
Active in the non-profit community of Spartanburg for the past 10 years, Robin has served in volunteer leadership roles to advocate for those pushed to the margins striving to build unity and value in pursuit of community wholeness.
Robin received her Bachelor of Science degree from Troy University and her Master of Science from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and has completed the Strategic Leadership and Management Specialization Certification from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Gies College of Business.
