United Way Hires Archibald to Lead Cradle-to-Career Plan Development
Union County, SC – United Way of the Piedmont is thrilled to announce Jasmine Archibald as the newly appointed Director of Cradle to Career for Union County. This position represents a key step toward advancing a unified community plan for education and workforce development, spanning from early childhood through to economic mobility for Union County families and residents.
Archibald brings extensive experience in nonprofit program management and community engagement. With a Bachelor of Science in Technical Management with a concentration in Sales and Marketing from DeVry University, Jasmine has dedicated her career to building strong, community-driven programs designed to create opportunities for success.
"I am thrilled to take on the role of Cradle to Career Director because I believe in the power of community-driven change and the potential for every child to succeed,” Archibald said. “This initiative provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with local leaders and families to build a stronger, more equitable future.”
The Cradle to Career initiative, funded by BlackRock Foundation, will allow Partners for Rural Impact to work collaboratively with Union County schools, the United Way of the Piedmont and Spartanburg Academic Movement to explore the community’s shared vision for success of all students and the ability to partner and create an investable and sustainable plan to achieve the vision.
Archibald will play an important role in supporting community convenings and serving as a key contact in partnership with PRI throughout the development of the plan. This initiative aims to develop strategies that support early childhood development, post-secondary achievement, and workforce readiness. By building a robust network of Union County-based partners, the initiative seeks to ensure that every resident has the opportunity to succeed and thrive.
Hannah Jarrett, Vice President of Community and Collective Impact for United Way of the Piedmont, expressed her enthusiasm for Jasmine’s appointment and the support from BlackRock Foundation.
“We’re excited to welcome Jasmine to help coordinate this community-driven planning effort to improve outcomes for students, families, and all residents of Union County,” Jarrett said. “Thank you to BlackRock for their investment in this community. We’re grateful to work alongside our collaborators at Partners for Rural Impact, Spartanburg Academic Movement, and the many Union-based partners that are helping bring this vision to life. We look forward to Union County’s future and making this a place where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.”
Archibald will serve as the project coordinator for this two-year initiative, facilitating engagement across sectors and aligning resources toward shared goals.
