Lauren Silver serves as a Continuous Improvement Coach with Spartanburg Academic Movement, working alongside schools and community partners to strengthen systems and practices that improve outcomes for students and families across Spartanburg County.

She began her career as a classroom teacher in Charleston, where she taught English for seven years while earning her Master’s in Education with a concentration in Instructional Coaching from Clemson University. During this time, she supported first-year teachers through mentoring and coaching, building a strong foundation in guiding others toward growth and success.

Her work later expanded into the nonprofit sector as a Program Coordinator for an arts education organization, where she collaborated with schools and community groups to increase equitable access to high-quality educational opportunities. This role deepened her belief in the power of partnership to drive meaningful change.

Lauren earned her undergraduate degree in Secondary Education and English from the College of Charleston. Having recently relocated to Spartanburg to be closer to family, she is excited to contribute her experience and passion to the community.

Outside of work, Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband, their son, and their two dogs.
