Lauren Hampton works as a Continuous Improvement Coach for Spartanburg Academic Movement, partnering with schools and community organizations to enhance systems and practices that drive better outcomes for students and families throughout Spartanburg County.
Always remaining an educator at heart, she has more than eight years of experience in Title I schools, she served as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, and mentor across Seattle, Washington; Washington, D.C.; and Spartanburg District 7. Throughout her career, she used evidence-based practices to identify learning needs and strengthen outcomes for diverse learners. She brings expertise in data-informed instruction, continuous improvement practices, and collaborative problem-solving, and was honored as E.P. Todd’s Teacher of the Year for the 2024–2025 school year in recognition of her commitment to student growth and achievement. Lauren is deeply committed to the belief that all students can achieve positive outcomes when schools build strong systems of support, maintain high expectations, and foster meaningful relationships.
Lauren holds a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Florida International University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Education with a concentration in Special Education from Western Washington University. Her academic preparation and classroom experience, along with her commitment to fostering sustainable, data-informed improvement efforts, reflects her dedication to continuous growth and advancing opportunities for all Spartanburg County students.
While not working, Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband and their two daughters. She appreciates the chance to explore new places and try lots of different kinds of food.
