Evan Petty serves as the Grants Manager for the Spartanburg Academic Movement. She is responsible for managing and supporting SAM’s grants and community investments.

Originally from Camden, SC, Evan has called the Upstate home since 2013 and has lived in Spartanburg since 2020. She previously worked at Greer Relief and the Spartanburg County Foundation. In Evan’s work in the nonprofit and philanthropic communities, the tie between economic mobility and educational attainment was evident. She is excited to be part of a team ensuring everyone in Spartanburg County can thrive.

Evan earned her Master of Public Administration from Clemson University and her Bachelor of Arts in English and Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Georgia.
